Through the Years...

• In 1929, Ben Altman, father of President Steve Altman, purchases "Fallsburg Ice"
• Name changes to "Mountain Candy & Cigar" in 1930 when the company goes out of the "ice business" and expands product mix
• Steve Altman joins company full-time in 1962
• Company expands product lines and servies in mid-60's to anticipate growing needs of our customers
• Name changes again in 1984 to Mountain/Service Distributors to reflect true nature of business
• Today we serve six NY counties: Sullivan, Ulster, Orange, Greene, Rockland, and Delaware
• From a tiny storefront, our state-of-the-art facility grew to 45,000 sq. ft.
• Our list of dedicated employees grows each year
